Bankhead Theater, 2400 First Street, Livermore CA  from November 6, 2018 - January 8, 2019.

The Theme of the Show is Passageways, Boundaries and Transitions.  The photographs can depict all of these, or one of these, in each photograph. The photograph can be literal or metaphorical, depicting a physical, emotional, mental or spiritual landscape within the theme. The photographs are not limited in subject matter or limited to any particular process. Black and white, color, and alternative processes will all be givenequal weight. The awards will go to those images which best express the theme of the show.


The Judge is Mark Citret,  of whom Ruth Bernhard wrote: "I am touched by the reverence with which Mark’s eyes approach the world before him, the tenderness with which he sees subtle simple beauty that is nearly invisible to, and most often ignored by, passerbys.”

The Bankhead Theater Gallery is Seeking Artwork for The Art of Drama  at the Bankhead Theater Gallery, August 28­–October 30, 2018.  We are looking for exact OR broad interpretation of “Drama”; so think outside the box! The deadline to apply is August 10. Seeking artwork in all media, framed and wired for hanging. Abstract, representational, realistic or anything in between­ — show off the drama you captured in art or photography.

Art in Action at Hagemann Ranch:  Hagemann Ranch is managed by the Livermore Heritage Guild. They invite artists to demonstrate their art at the Ranch Open Houses which take place on the last Sunday of every month from March through November. The Hagemann Ranch is located at 455 Olivina Ave., Livermore. There are lots of subjects to inspire you. Several artists took part last year. A sign up poster is behind the counter at the LAA Gallery, or you can sign up by emailing Barbara Soules at tbsoules@yahoo.com
