Figure Drawing Workshop
- What: Improve your drawing skills - open to all artists. Under 18 need parental consent, as live models are drawn. $20 per session, if you pay for the month. $23 drop in.

Tuesday Painting Group (on location)
- What: A group of local artists gather together every Tuesday morning at 9:00 am to paint until 12:00 at various locations around the valley. New additions are welcome. Bring painting supplies, sunscreen, a hat, and lunch. Two sessions are spent at each site before moving on. If you would like to be included on the e-mail list giving directions to the locations a few days before, e-mail Tricia Leonard.

Show & Tell Night at the Bothwell
- What: One Tuesday out of the month is “Artists Show & Tell” at the Bothwell Arts Center at 7p.m. At these get-togethers you have the opportunity to see what other artists are working on, to critique artwork or have your artwork critiqued, or to bring other art-related things like new techniques, or other creative subjects that interest you. Bring a snack or drink if you like and join us for an interesting and fun evening.

PAL Children’s Summer Art Workshop
- What: Introduction to Watercolor Painting. Ages 9+. Students will learn how to use washes and dry brush techniques. After doing a few exercises to become familiar with watercolor basics students will have the opportunity to complete one or more paintings.

Basics of Drawing the Human Head
- What: Using charcoal, pastel or pencil on paper, explore the basics of structure, proportions, composition, and modeling and light and shadow. Ozell Hudson is donating proceeds from this class to benefit the Bothwell.

- What: Build ceramic furniture using soft slabs, slip, and fabric textures; Coil ala Mata Ortiz-Style using colored slip decoration; Print images on ceramics using stencils, silk screens, and underglazes; Press Mold a Garden Sculpture or Stele using plaster molds and textures found in the studio; Glaze surface discussion and demonstration, covering underglazes, low fire glaze, and cone 5 glazes; Pour a small mold from start to finish.

Darla's Annual Ghost Ranch Art Retreat/Workshop
- What: Looking for a different type of art workshop? You are invited to Darla Bostick’s multi-media art workshop/retreat at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, NM. Several rooms have been reserved 31 August-6 Sept (ending Labor Day weekend) for the event which includes digital photography, watercolors/acrylics, pencil, incorporating text and more. There is plenty of opportunity for plein air painting as well as the comfort of a group activity room. For 7 days/6 nights you have permission to simply relax, enjoy and create. Your lodging and daily meals are covered with your registration. The Georgia O'Keeffe Landscape Tour takes you to the very places where she painted from the magnificent scenery offered by the area. Karen Frey Watercolor Workshop
- What: Karen Frey will conduct a 3 day Watercolor Workshop at the Pleasanton Firehouse Arts Center during the NWS (National Watercolor Society) exhibit. The workshop will encompass a holistic approach to creating a painting. Karen will begin with her specific color palette and how it relates to wet-into-wet applications followed by compositional elements, and underpainting. Included are lectures and demonstrations and student exploration. The artist strives to work with individual students during their work time. (Limit: 16)
