Volunteer at Veterans CLC (Nursing Home)
- What: Looking for artist voluneers to help out on July 24 from 12:30 to 4 pm to help veterans create art, or do other tasks. Additionally, artists are needed different times throughout the year to help teach art at the Veterans home.

The Village Theatre Art Gallery Docent
- What: Become a Docent! Share your passion for art with your community! The Village Theatre Art Gallery is seeking volunteers who will lead, teach, and inspire our community to appreciate fine art. Becoming a docent offers you the opportunity to learn about different works of art, artists, historical periods, and cultures. Docents provide an essential link between the exhibit and the visitor and are the heart of the museum experience. No experience necessary. Training will be provided, and flexible shifts are available.

Blackhawk Plaza Art & Wine Event
- What: It is open to all artists in Northern California. Over 60 artist exhibit locations throughout Blackhawk Plaza are available for artists to display and demonstrate their work. Tables and Umbrellas will be provided - no tents will be used. There will be a live band and wine tasting booths. Advertising and promotion of this event will be done by Blackhawk Plaza. All bunny themed artwork is welcome! No entry fee, wire display panels provided. Suggested 20% donation of sales to SPCA. Rescue will offer 3 reference sessions to meet their bunnies; the first is at the adoption event on Saturday June 5th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the SPCA; second event on Saturday, July 3, and lastly at a private session on either Monday, July 12 or Friday, July 16. Details for events TBA. CD with photos to be provided.

Alameda Creek Watershed 2nd Annual Photo Contest
- What: Be a part of the 2010 Photo Contest! The contest is open to all ages of amateur and professional photographers. There will be both youth and adult categories. The Council is looking for photos that highlight creeks, lakes and wetlands found in the Alameda Creek Watershed.
- Where: Judging and winner recognition will take place at the Alameda Creek Watershed Council’s annual conference in October and be highlighted on their webpage.
- When: Deadline submission is Sept. 15. Work on display for the month of October.

The Day of the Dead - A Step to Eternity: Un Paso a la Eternidad
- What: n honor of the 100-year anniversary of the Mexican revolution, in which approximately one million people died to replace the dictator Porfirio Diaz in order to create a Constitutional republic, this year’s theme of the Day of the Dead is based on revolution and change or death as the price for liberty.
