The Livermore Art Association (LAA) is a sponsor or major participant in a number of shows and exhibitions including the Annual Spring Art Show at the Barn, Art in the Vineyard at Wente Winery, Art Under the Oaks at Alden Lane Nursery, and the Harvest Festival at Concannon Winery.

The LAA sponsors rotating exhibitions of members’ art at local busniesses including Virtues of Coffee, Goodenough Books, Livermore Main Street Project, China Village Restaurant and the Livermore City Council Chambers in Livermore.

The LAA is a co-participant with the Pleasanton Art League in general monthly meetings that feature demonstrations by renowned artists.

The LAA is a member in the Tri-Valley Arts, an association of non-profit visual, musical and dramatic arts in the Tri-Valley Areas and also a member of the Livermore Cultural Arts Council.

LAA members receive The Portfolio, a monthly newsletter jointly published with the Pleasanton Art League focusing on art related activities in the Tri-Valley and other areas. The Portfolio publishes a calendar of events, introduces the demonstrators for the monthly general meetings, and announces submission dates for art shows, as well as publishing art related "happenings" of interest.

A video tape library is maintained by the LAA at the Livermore Art Association Gallery for member use and current copies of American Artist and American Craft magazines are also available.
