Diana Carey

  • E-Mail: dianaart@dianaart.net
  • Website: www.dianaart.net

You can find Diana Carey, passionate jewelry artist, engaged in her beautiful works of art, in what 'carved' out time she may have. She has been shaping and carving stunning stone pieces for over three years, and working with silver since January of this year. Her jewelry has been featured at Renaissance Faires, and you will soon find her masterpieces displayed for purchase in local art galleries.

Diana's education is one to be admired. She earned a BS degree in Business from then, Cal State-Hayward, later in life. She believed we should never stop learning, and so continued on to capture her MBA in Computer Information Systems, (CIS), also from Cal State. One must respect her tenacity in this field which is mostly a commanded by men; however a growing career interest for women.

Diana is a Senior Business Manager with AT and T, in San Ramon, CA. She has been an employee in good stead for over 11 years. From Livermore, Diana is content with her relatively short, non-taxing, commute into work each day. She considers herself fortunate to be among those living in a great community, close to her place of employment.

Sleeping Beauty has nothing on this fascinating woman! She learned the craft of spinning, weaving, and knitting wool, as a participant at a Renaissance Faire over seven years ago. She does not sell her wool; she donates or gives it for free.

With husband, Don, Diana resides in the Livermore Valley. She, along with creating her jewelry, is a poetess and short story writer. You might find her at a local writer’s boutique or home reading, and writing literature. She has one son, Chris, a Naval Officer serving in England. She has one teenage grandson who resides in Scotland, whom she wishes lived so much closer.
