"The world presents may special scenes to paint. Some last for
only a moment, but linger in the soul and mind waiting to be
painted."
Diane Rodriguez is a third generation Bay Area resident.
Her primary artistic interest is painting with
watercolors. She paints lush florals and realistic still
lifes. However, she is becoming well known for her
paintings of "trainscapes". She is one of the few women in
the world to attempt the challenge.
Diane Received an A.A. degree at Chabot Community College,
where she was encouraged to continue an education in art.
She received a B.A. degree cum laude in art education with
an emphasize in studio art at California State University
East Bay.
In 2008 Diane received a Best in Watercolor award from the
annual Expressions show sponsored by the Tracy Art League
in Tracy CA.
Diane is Membership Chairperson for the Livermore Art
Association and and the Pleasanton Art League. She is also
a member of the Alamo Danville Art Society and the
California Watercolor Association.
