The freeness of watercolor has always intrigued me. My painting experiences have run the gamut from feeling the need to make a realistic representation, to starting the creative process by letting the paint flow dictate the subject, to a combination of structure and flow. I prefer the liquidity of watercolor to other mediums, but have also used acrylics.

I paint from life and from photographs. My paintings are eclectic as far as style and subject, and I occasionally paint abstracts.

Recent projects I especially enjoyed were writing and illustrating three books for children: Randi’s Pesky Picnic and Angel the Beddy-bye Cat, both rhyming ABC stories, and The Counting Fair, a rhyming numbers story. I illustrated a book by another author called Nature’s Wonders, Poems for Young People.
