Cheryl Lawson has been a lover of nature and art since she was a little girl. Ever since obtaining her Art Degree she has painted the colorful beauty and the natural world in its entire splendor in the realistic art form. While on her many trips to Europe, South America, and Asia she also has been fascinated by the ancient architecture and has depicted them in a wonderful new impressionistic art form. Always carrying her sketch book, paints and materials with her to capture that special scene where ever she goes.

She is an award-winning artist who paints in oil and acrylics on canvas, as well as watercolors. Cheryl is now working primarily in Plein Air with an Impressionistic style, focusing on capturing the magnificence of color and beauty in the outdoor natural life.

"I like to compose my paintings in such a manner as to capture a moment in life. I want my painting to tell a story of that captured moment. I see things differently than a lot of artists. I want my paintings to present themselves outside of the box, such as including people in my landscapes and seascapes. Some of my most prolific work include a person or persons in the  scenery. I like to express happiness by using my artistic skills to create paintings that people will like because they make them happy. "
