Katie came to making jewelry from being at loose ends. She had been working at Goodenough Bookstore but left when business began declining. Her daughter, Jeannine, was making and selling jewelry and it looked like fun. She would never know if she would get hooked or not unless she tried. So with Jeannine's assistance, Katie bought the basic tools and some beads, and started her journey.

Katie is LAA's Vice President. Her work can be seen at the LAA Gallery at Carnegie Park.
