When I began painting in 1975 I felt I was transported to a place of peace, happiness and contentment. I have always been interested in painting people and at present I paint mostly portraiture and still-lifes. My goal is toward an expression which challenges the intellect somewhat while at the same time conveying beauty and sensitivity.

When I begin a painting, I have a concept in mind and my hope is to express a substantive feeling to the viewer - not just as a decorative piece or something to hand on the wall.

I have participated in exhibits in New Jersey, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and now in California.
