Marc Davis
While Marc enjoys many different types of photography, his principal focus is on nature, including both fine art landscapes and wildlife. The primary motivation for his art is to enable viewers to see the beauty in nature, and perhaps encourage them to appreciate and connect with it just a little more. Beginning a few years ago, Marc embarked on a journey to use his camera as an instrument for capturing the stunning images in the world around us so that he could share them with others. Marc's love of photography began as a child when he first picked up a fully manual SLR. Developing and printing in his school’s darkroom, he fell in love with photography as art, and that passion burns stronger than ever thirty years later. While he now uses state-of-the-art techniques in the digital world, the smell of stop bath and fixer in the darkroom will forever be burned in his memory. Marc's images have been exhibited in several juried shows and won numerous awards. Marc resides in Dublin with his wife and family and has been settled in the Bay Area for nearly fifteen years. |
