Barbara Stanton Demonstrated Painting on her iPad
Elisa sums up her whole career with the following statement. “I write and illustrate picture books because I've never outgrown a deep childhood urge to enter a magical world. As a child growing up in Los Angeles, I wished that my huge city could be more like the places in the books that I loved -- places where forests grew and seasons changed, where animals talked and anything was possible. I envied those characters who slid down rabbit holes, or visited with Charlotte and Wilbur, or flew with Peter Pan, or floated with Mary Poppins, or journeyed to Oz.

John Tinger, Batik Demo in June
Having been honored with overed forty one person shows, Charlotte is a signature member of the California Watercolor Association, charter member and past president of the Pleasanton Art League, founding President of the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council and founder of the PCAC “Arts in the Schools Program.”
Carlotte is currently celebrating her 25th year of teaching intermediate & advanced classes which are now being taught at the Firehouse Art Center. There will be a 25th Anniversary Art Exhibit of students work at the Pleasanton Senior Center from April 30 to May 11. The public will want to mark their calendars for April 30, 7:00 to 9:00 for the Reception. Everyone is invited.

Alex Anderson, Quilting
An inspired teacher for over 30 years, Charlotte has taught classical watercolor, Oriental brush painting and drawing in San Francisco Bay Area schools, both public and private. Also serving as “Artist in Residence” in many schools, she has enjoyed lighting the spark of creativity in thousands of children and adults, teaching weekly classes in watercolor for 21 years for the City of Pleasanton’s Civic Arts Program, enhancing students awareness and creating a new vision for all of life.
April brought Peter Längenbach & his Sculptures made from Recycled & Reclaimed Wood
Elisa Kleven, Author and illustrator of Childrens Books was guest artist on February 12, at the Bothwell Art Center, 2466 8th Street, Livermore.
Charlotte Severin was the Guest Artist at the March 12, 2018 combined meeting of the Livermore Art Association and Pleasanton Art League held in Pleasanton. Her demonstration was on Watercolor on Yupo.
The LAA Spring Show was June 10-11, 2017 at the Barn. It was wonderful! We're sorry if you missed it. Here are some photos to share with you. 2018 Spring Show will be April 7 & 8. See you then!
